Initial Visit & Services

Our office focuses on chronic, complex injuries that have not resolved. The initial visit consists of a thorough, one hour evaluation. This includes a detailed patient history and clinical/ diagnostic assessment of the patient's current neurologic functioning and limitations. 

Clinical evaluation and diagnostic studies including VNG are combined to accurately identify the areas of impairment causing the symptoms associated with concussion injuries and various vestibular disorders.  

Findings will be reviewed with the patient and a customized treatment plan will be designed to improve impairments, resolve symptoms and return to pre-injury status. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and take an active part in their treatment.    

 Poor focus, brain fog, headaches, and insomnia can make enjoying work and home life difficult. For over 50 years, QEEG Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback Brain Training has been shown to help the brain overcome these symptoms to allow the brain to work more efficiently and improve function. 

We screen all patients to make sure they are a qualify as a good candidate for neurofeedback training. A Brain Map or QEEG is the first step in the evaluation process after the intake history is reviewed.  The Brain Map records and looks at brain wave patterns to find any areas that can be improved with neurofeedback training. If you are a good candidate for neurofeedback training based on the results, it will be explained in the Report of Findings visit.

Neurofeedback training is non-invasive and does not put anything in your brain. It records and monitors the way that the brain functions and then gives it feedback, so that it can train itself either in the office or now in the comfort of your home with our home training units!
